According to Sonia Kashuk, When It Comes to Eyes, What Glitters Glows - Makeup and Beauty Blog
OMG! Accept you heard well-nigh the party at Target?! Well, not at Target. Information technology'south more than inside Target, downwards by the cosmetics aisle, right in front of the Sonia Kashuk display.
Just look for the disco ball…packaging for Sonia's limited edition What Glitters Glows Middle Palette ($xv).
If it looks familiar… If it looks familiar (déjà vu!), you may be recalling last year'southward Starry Optics Palette, which besides had large pans of shadow similar these and came in similar packaging. Oh, and it had the same price ($15).
For this palette, Sonia swapped out the iii cool-toned, polish and pigmented mattes from Starry Eyes with three dynamic, neutral-toned shadows with a fascinating combination of matte/glitter cease.
I tin can't believe the grey, black and brown shadows in the bottom row are available at Target, because they seem like higher cease department store material to me. They come in a matte base that's pigmented, nevertheless still soft and easy to blend, and they're infused with subtle flecks of sophisticated blackness-necktie glitter (as opposed to 1996 rave glitter), which reminds me: did you e'er trip the light fantastic toe with a glow stick at a rave? Yup, adept times…
And so I recall it you similar your glitter on the subtle side, like glitter skilful for understated vacation political party looks, the shadows in the bottom row might appeal to yous.
Swatches from left: glittery grey, glittery white, glitter gold, shimmery grey, shimmery black and shimmery dark-brown
Now, the shadows in the tiptop row plough the glitter up a notch, just in a weird style. The flecks are supersized, merely they're within sheer bases (which makes me wonder, "what's the point?").
They remind me of the Sonia's Fall 2010'due south Brown Eyed Girl Palette, with their oversized glitter flecks in sheer bases. The grayness, white and gold hither look almost alike on my tan skin, and I recall these are shadows that ladies with lighter pare, upon which the subtle differences among the shades volition stand up out more than, might admire.
Fifty-fifty though I'm not in honey with the glitters in the top row, I think Sonia did well with this palette. I like having multifariousness when it comes to glitter, and I think the colors in the bottom row could piece of work on a broad range of peel tones.
Now I just need an invitation to a holiday party and enough time to get ready. 🙂

Do you hear that…?
I was driving to the grocery store the other day when I caught this great song (well, I similar it) on the radio.
Information technology's called Dog Days Are Over, by a band named Florence and the Machine. I gauge it's not new, although it's new to me, and was featured on Glee.
I love how it alternates between mellow and intense, and so just goes absolutely buck wild in the last infinitesimal!
What take yous been listening to this week? Got whatsoever new tunes for me? 🙂
